There are several different ways to become a nurse aide in Arkansas. The different routes to certification apply to various situations and have specific eligibility requirements. The following individuals may be eligible for certification: a recent graduate of a nursing assistant program; an individual previously certified in Arkansas; a student enrolled in a registered nursing program or a licensed practical nursing program; a home health aide; someone who completed a nurse aide course in another state; an out-of-state certified nursing assistant.
