The nurse aide examination in Idaho is made up of two separate exams: the manual skills and the written test. A candidate has three attempts to pass each test. Keep in mind that one must pass the skills exam within six months and the written exam within one year from the completion of the training program. The skills section always precedes the written portion. One needs to pass the skills portions to qualify for the written exam. Those who did not pass the exam within three attempts, must complete another approved nurse aide training program prior to any further testing attempts.
