How long is the CNA certificate valid for?

I am a coordinator/case manager for students who are interested in building their job training and education (High School and GED). Many women who go through our program are interested in taking CNA classes. However, recently a young lady who, I am assisting, is looking to renew her CNA certificate and I don't know where to begin.

CNA certificates are valid for two years in most states. A nurse aide must show proof of paid work in a licensed nursing home or facility in order to renew her credentials. If you need further assistance with renewal information please include the state where she became certified as a nurse aide.
