An individual who meets the appropriate criteria for a temporary certificate may be issued only one certificate, valid for six months. Within the six month period the nurse aide must complete the certification process and obtain a permanent certificate in Nevada. A temporary certificate may be issued in as little as one week once the application and all the necessary documents have been received by the Nevada Nursing Board.
