A nursing assistant with revoked status, who has negative findings listed against her on the Mississippi Nurse Aide Registry cannot become recertified. The individual is denied recertification not only in Mississippi but in all other states. Negative findings prevent one from being eligible to work for a Medicaid or Medicare certified nursing home in the United States. The only instance in which you may be able to recertify in Mississippi is if your status was revoked due to one finding of neglect. You may petition for removal of neglect findings from the registry after one year, if no additional findings are brought against you.
