The only criteria for renewing a nurse aide certification in Idaho is to have proof of work as a CNA, for a minimum of eight hours within the twenty-four months prior to the certification expiration date. The work performed as a nursing assistant must be for pay, and volunteer work does not count towards the renewal requirement. As of 2012 there is no fee required to process the renewal of a nurse aide certification in Idaho.
